I like the idea of having to earn the armour, it adds more meaning to the prestige of it.

But the pricing is a bit stupid anyone can earn obsidian now with just relentless farming

It's a pretty poor argument from me, but it stems from the fact that im nearly constantly skint but would still like some access to high end stuff, i want to earn it, but not with money.

If the requirements to get it are insane, keep the prices normal. don't make it so ebayers and gold buyers are the only ones who can get it.

Well warriors have silver eagle armor so why not add some reskin mixes of armor from the other proffesions that include animals like silver wolf armor for mesmers silver lion armor for paragons etc....

Because those classes have their own sets that other classes don't

I think they should make armor for players who have actually complete every campaign and must have beaten the expansion part to achieve the armor and call it Destroyer Armor.
